17th century in the era of Louis XIV, a young girl named Marquis (played by Sophie Marceau) captivates the Moria Theatre troupe with a beautiful dance in a dirty and chaotic small town. Marquis follows the troupe to Paris, dreaming of becoming a world-famous actress. However, her acting career doesnt go as smoothly as she had hoped.
