A young surveyor, new to a remote area of Ontario, quickly becomes acquainted with the infamous blackflies that inhabit the region. Despite his initial attempts to cope with the relentless swarm of insects, he soon finds himself overwhelmed by their persistence. Every step he takes, every breath he breathes, the blackflies seem to follow, leaving him exasperated and desperate for relief. Will he be able to find a way to outsmart these tiny tormentors, or will they prove to be an insurmountable obstacle in his new surroundings?Review:This film brilliantly captures the sheer frustration and annoyance that blackflies can bring to those unfamiliar with their persistent presence in remote areas. The viewer is empathetically drawn into the protagonists struggle, feeling the itch and irritation right alongside him. The portrayal of natures unsympathetic side serves as a powerful reminder of the challenges that can arise when entering unfamiliar territory.
